This scale is made of a hand hammered iron beam, thick softwood trays and put together with square shaker style nails. Very difficult to get this to balance but I always displayed it off center because I thought it looked better. This is certainly a nice touch for rustic decor. I have no idea as to the age. No makers marks or any other distinguishing features to help assist in the age than those already mentioned. My best guess..earlier than 1910 $57

I wish I could use this but oh well..maybe you can.  This is a nice and safe scale to weigh a child with.  Very steady compared to other designs I have had.  The way the basket is designed permits for safe operation.  Of course there are other applications but if you are seeking a vintage baby scale that is safe I recommend this one.  Great for dolls as well.  I suggest placing a blanket on the inside for display.

Hanson International Postal Scale

This is a very clean scale.  I think it is neat to see all the countries on the side of it with the rates on the front.  Now all I need is a map.  Again, this is a very clean postal scale and worthy of a pristine collection. $32 price includes shipping in the US
